although we are forecast more heat later in the week.........
Yesterday everything was confirmed for our move, disappointed the washer belongs to the building owners, not the landlady we are renting from, so the washer will have to go, will advertise it after 1st August, I can use the washer in the flat then, can leave the washing on an airer in the 2nd bedroom to dry.
Ouch lady came to do our feet this morning, I was in the shower, had her coming tomorrow.........she did DB's feet first. She agreed that the hard skin on the inside of my toe is from the next toe nail, so she has cut it back and filed the hard skin away.
It has just started to rain, do not think it will be much though.......the cord on the window blinds has stuck, cannot open the blinds properly, the agent is coming tomorrow, so will report it to her whilst she is here.
Ding dinner tonight. I have cut our food budget right down, so these will be the last few ding dinners for a while. More stress on me, but we are going to need some extra cash once we move into the flat. I was going to order blackout liners for the curtains, but I can buy black out curtains cheaper. To be honest I am not a fan of the curtains that are in the flat. The bedroom ones will do for a bit but the living room ones need changing. Elephants are not my bag. I will have 2 pairs of curtains from here to get rid of. Will try and sell them otherwise it will be the charity shop. I am working on emptying the garage freezer so it can go to its new home. Hopefully the freezer at the flat will take some of it, hope they do not switch it off when they empty the flat.
I'm so glad the flat is yours and hope it and the location makes like easier for both you and DB!
ReplyDeleteThere is a heck of a lot to deal with for this move and I cannot imagine anyone would want elephants on their sitting room curtains. Well, except for one of DH's aunts who has always loved elephants so has paintings and statues of them in her home. Go figure.
Might one of your kids, grands, or greats want the washer and dryer? They are so very handy to have.
More rain here last night so we're now a tad above 9" of rain since July 1 and more rain is expected this afternoon and evening. Goodness!
I'm about to press the fabric for the alternate squares and hope to get them cut today.
Hugs!
