but not for long, rain is due again tomorrow night, so looks like another Monday off for Trevor.
Have sorted out our trip to see DB's sister. travel up Friday, back Sunday. Accomodation all sorted, we can have breakfast at the accomodation. SIL has arranged for 2 of the children to come over to see us. The other two are in Cambridge and Bristol, so too far to travel for a day.
Sun is quite warm, but there is a breeze. Was devastated to see the damage in the US. We have friends who live in North Carolina, hope they are ok.
Two more strips for the quilt made just have 3 to do to make the 10. Then it will need cleaning up and pressing before it goes to be quilted.
Towels washed and on the line, they should dry in the breeze.
Supper sausage, baked potato and beans. Banana and custard for dessert.
How nice that you'll be visiting DB's family and hope it will be a pleasant time, both traveling and while there.
ReplyDeleteIt's disappointing that your Monday rain keeps Trevor at home. Might he come a different day?
We had nearly 1/2" of gentle rain and some wind yesterday and I, too, feel so bad for folks hit hard by Helene.
You're making good progress on the sweet baby quilt! I hope to have the center of the new Ukraine quilt top together today and then will hunt for batting (or order some), borders and backing. The center will only be 33"x44" so needs borders to make it larger.
Hugs!
