we get the small console table and the linen cupboard delivered, then the bedroom will be fnished and I just have to get the bookcase in the sitting room moved to its final resting place and tweek a few other things, then just the sewing room to sort which I can do at my leisure.
I have managed to find someone else to iron the sheets, sending them to the laundry was just too expensive...... £140 a month. No way could I afford that. The lady who has agreed to iron for me charges £25, { do not change the sheets every week......every second week when the cleaner comes. Not ideal but I just cannot manage it myself.
Not such a good night last night, although the weather has cooled down and we have just a sheet and quilt , no duvet, on the bed, I was hot. I have a heat rash which is causing problems which does not help.
DB has started on his walking programme, walking down the corridor with the walker twicw a day.
DB has asked for sausage, mash and beans for supper, so will have to get the sausage out of the freezer.
Captain Edwin springs to mind x
ReplyDeleteI hope those new pieces of furniture simplify your life and are a joy to use. Again, you've managed to get your new home in tip top shape so quickly and can take your time with the sewing room. Nice!!
ReplyDeleteThere was sad news for me this morning: the husband of my Aussie quiltie sister, Jan, died Monday, a day before his 84th birthday. He was an amazing and lovely man and after a 30 year friendship with his wife, I had come to think of him as a distant and beloved brother-in-law.
Errands on this cooler day (high of 24*C) to library, grocery, and post office and am glad to be home. Have already taken bananas to R4 because (if you can believe it) Amazon grocery was out of bananas.
Hugs!
