I managed to get DB out both Saturday and Sunday, we spoke to various people we met on the way, We just went round the garden and the footprint of the site, a couple of places I had to turn the chair and tow it, the big wheels easier to get up bumps.
Yesterday DD2 came up with GGS, his spots have all scabbed over and he now has 12 teeth!! We had to move stuff out of his reach, he is very mobile now, he did stand for a second or two, then realised what he was doing and sat down!!
Today started off fine, it is now pouring with rain, yuk, so no walk out today. I want to try getting DB in the car if I can......that will be interesting.
I am making a few more bookmarks, the table top sale is a week on Thursday.......10% of the sales go to a local charity.
Supper tonight salmosn, new potatoes, peas and white sauce. Plumb crumble for dessert, using up some of the plums I bought a couple of weels ago.
How delightful for DB to be out and about on the property where you two now life, meeting folks and chatting now that you and the wheelchair make that possible!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that DD2 brought GGS to visit and it is always so true that the precious things need to be out of reach. My mother's friend long ago wailed that "UP is full!"
Methinks the folks at the coffee morning will always want more of your lovely bookmarks. Hope you have time to make enough before the sale.
DH made an apple crumble last eve but used filo dough and methinks it would have been much better with puff pastry instead. I didn't tell DH that, of course.
Hope to machine quilt one or both of the doll quilts today. Is that possible?
Chilly day here with a high of 11*C and the low tonight -2*C. Some areas are getting several feet of snow but not here ... yet.
