I have done a job this morning I should have done before. Shaved DB's head, he has not had his hair cut since just after I came out of hospital. Because he cannot bend the carers have been washing his head when they wash him. The patch of scale he had on his head has trasferred all over, so have had to find the betacap to treat it, it was horrible......
A very humid day, no read sun and only a slight breeze.
Egg salad for lunch today, will have a roll at tea time, carer will be here around 6pm. to get him ready for bed. He has managed to walk to the toilet with his walker this morning and also into the bedroom last night. The exercises seem to be working, but he needs to keep doing them twice a day. At least I no longer have to wheel him around in the chair!! That is a great relief. I do walk behind him though.
I know the mess that shaving heads make. Both of our sons prefer being bald rather than having a arc of hair around their heads, with 12 hairs on top as their grandfather had. They say they often shave their heads outdoors so the mess blows away!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that DB's exercises are strengthening his legs. Glory be! Anything that makes him more self sufficient and your life easier is a good thing.
I am hard boiling 3 eggs, one for tuna salad (for me) and the other two for DH to use on salads.
Alas, our weather is heating up and by Friday we will be nudging triple digits if the forecast is right. It is still horribly humid, too. Sigh!
