We have had 2 very stormy days and according to the forecast we are due another one. Having searched the bungalow twice I have not found the lamp, so ordered 2 small ones, they arrived yesterday, so one has the batteries in and is charged up. Everything is on the shelf in the TV unit, I can reach them easily. I have been keeping the flasks full, use the water as and when we need a drink and then refill the flask. I need to check the radio is charged up, we have a gadget that will recharge it, or a tablet if the electric goes down.
Right now the sun is shining, but the trees are really swaying in the wind.
DD2 called in yesterday with the 2GGS, a manic half-hour, E made a bee line for the washer, I followed him and as his finger was ready to engage with the switch said NO in a very loud voice, I had to stop myself from laughing, his face was a picture..........he made a quick exit into the sitting room......... S was quite happy to sit and chew on a toy, he is slow teething like his brother.
DD1 and family are back from their holiday, apparently 4 of them got a bug that was going round.......so not a great success. DGD is still waiting to hear when they will be able to move into their new house.
I am hoping the weather clears up a bit so I can sort out the pots for the bulbs and get the ones from the front moved round. Its really time they were in.
Supper tonight, chicken with roast potato's, cauliflower and broccoli. Custard tart for dessert.
