The wind has dropped

We woke to watery sun. Yesterday was a bit of a disaster. I received a phone call Thursday to say that DB's carer would not be here until after 10am, it was 11am when he turned up. We had eaten breakfast earlier. Thankfully this morning the carer arrived just after 8am, so a rather more normal morning.

I hung a washer load out on the line and then checked the plants. I found 3 more plastic trays, so washed them and allowed them to dry. I manhandled a bag of compost into the conservatory ans laid out some pots. If it's fine tomorrow I will take cuttings from the geraniums and plant them up, the pots will stay on the windows cills and hopefully provide enough geraniums for the summer pots next year. Then I will empty the summer pots, replace the compost and plant them up with bulbs for the spring.

Cornish Pasty for supper tonight, not sure about dessert as yet.

  1. Am glad to hear that today is more normal since the carer came on time!
Hope the weather allows you to pot up the cuttings and plant bulbs for the spring. It's so wonderful that you and DB can still have a garden to gladden your view come spring and summer!
The autumn color is magnificent here and so many leaves are falling as are the huge acorns.
I'm thinking of baking some cookies today or maybe an apple crumble.
Also want to finish the first border on SuperNova today and be ready for the outer border before Nov. starts tomorrow.

    Hugs!
