I went in to see DB yesterday, it was quite a walk to get to where he was. He had seen the Dr. more tests, the pharmacist also came whilst I was there. Journey home was horrific, took me over an hour.
DB rang later to tell me he had been moved, he has been in this ward before, it is not quiet, I can see him asking for ear plugs........ he was asking yesterday where his glasses were, I was sure I had packed them for him, but did search when I got home. I told him to get the nurses to check his bag, message this morning to say he had found them. Phew!!
I have ordered 4 weeks Sunday roasts from Wiltshire farm foods, they arrived this morning.
No sun and the temperature has dropped back from 24c to 16c, its blooming cold.
I plant to have a snack and then go in to see DB. Not eager to get caught in traffic again today, I will go tomorrow and then on Sunday. Monday will be cleaner and gardener, so if he is still in it will be Tuesday before I go again.
Think I might have egg and chips tonight, I had chicken curry last night. Was in bed before 10. but woke at 5.15 and could not get back to sleep, so got up, had a shower and my breakfast. Hospital visiting starts at 11am so will set off from here so I am there for DB's lunch and will then come home so he can have his siesta.
You're doing well at managing a well planned schedule and being helpful to DB long distance. Hope you can find times for the trip to hospital and home when there will be less traffic (if there is ever such a time of day!).
ReplyDeleteHope, too, that DB's doctor happens to come while you're there so you can ask all the questions you'd like to ask. Long ago, I once asked a doctor to take a seat so I could ask all of my questions without him edging toward the door. He laughed and sat down so I asked the many questions I'd written down on the Kleenex box so I'd not forget to ask all of them!
If you can believe it, we had more rain yesterday evening - almost .5" of rain - so that was four rainy days in a row.
Hope to sew but think I'm too tired. Bother!
Hugs!
