another sweltering day, too hot last night to sleep.......not much better today, fan has been on all day, have just closed the blinds and curtains in the bedroom to keep it a bit cooler.
Salmon salad for lunch, too hot for cooked meal, DB has asked for pate on toast, yogurt and sponge cake for his supper. He is now walking on, still using the chair first thing when he gets up. His head is much better, no sign of the scalp problem starting up again. I am going to keep his head shaved.
Tomorrow I need to get to the library and also put some more stuff into the charity shop. DB will have to cope for an hour till I get back.
I hear you on not sleeping well when you're too hot! When I was a child, my parents bought a window air conditioner that was in the dining room right off the living room, so when it was hot we all slept on pallets on the living room floor. Might you benefit from a small air conditioner?
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to hear that DB continues to improve and is getting stronger! I share your hope he'll stay put while you run those errands.
Our high today is 34*C but by the weekend, we may be at 38.5*C. Yikes!!
Am hoping to cut batting for two approx. 27" projects today and repair rips in both side seams of one of DH's tee shirts.
